Introduction

Ingredients

    50g uncooked mung dhal
    90g potato
    25g uncooked millet
    15g gram (chickpea) flour

    40g onion
    3 cloves garlic

    1 tsp mustard seeds
    1 tsp cumin
    1/4 tsp chilli flakes
    1/2 tsp fennel seeds
    1/2 tsp ground coriander

    1 tsp dried parsley
    1/2 tsp dried coriander leaves

Tips

Serve with leafy greens to increase calcium content of meal.


Directions

Boil dhal, potato and millet until cooked.

Dry fry first lot of spices and crush in pestle and mortar.

Spray 1 cal oil and fry onion and garlic, add spices and parsley and coriander leaves.

Combine all ingredients together and allow to cool. Shape into patties and bake at 180 degree C for about 20-30 minutes.
