Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1.5 lbs. extra lean ground beef (or turkey)
    1.5 c. skim milk
    1 egg
    1 Tb. Worchestershire sauce
    1 c. whole wheat bread crumbs
    1/4 c. chopped or minced onion
    1.5 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground mustard
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground sage
    1 tsp. minced garlic

Tips

I do baked potatoes at the same time & temp along with meatloaf. Pierce potatoes, rub lightly with light Olive oil and sprinkle with salt & pepper. Wrap in foil and place in oven around loaf pan.


Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350 and spray a loaf pan that has a fat-draining insert. Put meat and dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Whisk together wet ingredients (milk, Worchestershire and egg), then add to meat. Mix thoroughly by hand or with a pastry cutter. Put into loaf pan and press lightly. Bake for 1.5 hours.

Serving Size: makes 10 slices or 5-6 servings
