Ingredients
-
Granulated Sugar, 1 cup
Brown Sugar, 1 cup, packed
Butter, salted, softened .75 cup
Shortening, .75 cup
Egg, fresh, whole, raw, 2 large
Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
*Whole Wheat Flour, 1.5 cup
*Flour, white, 2.5 cup
Baking Soda, 1 tsp
Baking Powder, 1 tsp
*Safeway Real Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips - 1, 120z bag
*Morton Table Salt, 0.5 tsp
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 380 Degrees.
Cream softened butter, shortening, eggs, vanilla, white sugar and brown sugar together until the sugar dissolves.
Combine the rest of the dry ingredients (besides the chocolate chips) and then add them slowly to the creamed mixture, mixing between additions. (The dough will be VERY thick)
At the very end, mix in the 12 oz of chocolate chips into the dough.
Scoop dough in about 1.5 tbs lumps onto an UNgreased baking pan, about a half inch apart from each other. Don't compress the balls too much.
Place in preheated 380 Degree oven for 8-12 minutes.
*Do Not Overcook! The top may seem like dough still, but this will rectify as the cookies cool on the rack.
Serving Size: Makes about 55, 2" diameter Cookies
Number of Servings: 55
