Ingredients

    1 lb. stew meat
    2 tsp. olive oil
    1 onion, thickly sliced
    1 tbsp. minced garlic
    1 cup soy sauce
    1 cup water
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1/2 tsp fresh minced ginger
    1 cup hoisin sauce

Tips

I usually throw in about 1.5 cups of baby carrots as well.

Ingredients can be frozen in a ziploc back. Thaw overnight and throw in the crockpot in the morning.

You can also half the sauce if you don't want a lot of sauce.


Directions

Dump all ingredients into the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. If leaving for longer than 8 hours, add a bit more water.

Serve over hot rice with fresh sliced green onions.
