Introduction

Ingredients

    3 cups diced fresh rhubarb
    2 cups halved fresh strawberries
    1 package sugar-free strawberry jello
    4 teaspoons granulated sugar
    1 cup water

Tips

This recipe will be very tart. You can add a bit more sugar if you like or some Splenda or other sweetener.


Directions

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add diced fresh rhubarb and bring to a boil. Simmer about 10 minutes. Add strawberries and cook a few minutes longer until soft. Remove from heat and stir in the package of strawberry jello and 4 teaspoons of sugar. Allow to cool and then chill.
