Ingredients

    16 oz Brussels sprouts
    1 T maple syrup (reduced from 3/4 cup)
    1 tsp olive oil (reduced from 1/4 cup
    fresh cracked black pepper
    sea salt
    cling wrap (optional)
    Garnish: dry cranberries or fresh pomegranate seeds

Directions

Per Trader Joes:

Preheat oven 350. Trim stalk of any unsightly parts. Rise well in fresh water. Wrap in cling wrap and heat in microwave on high for 4 or 5 min.

Whisk maple syrup and olive oil together. Place stalk on a roasting pan and pour maple syrup over; season to taste with salt & pepper. Roast for 45 min or until sprouts are fork tender.

Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds or dried cranberries.

Modifications: Use sprouts sliced in half and microwave or boil in water for 2 minutes and remove. Combine ingredients but set oven to 400 and bake for 15 minutes

    This recipe sounds awesome and is a sure must try. I will roast them individually but otherwise follow recipe exactly. I love the way they have been caramelized. - 11/20/18
