Ingredients

1 1/4 cup King Arthur's Natural White Whole Wheat Flour
4 rounded TBS Organic Valley Non-Fat Dry Milk mixed with 1 cup water (or 1 1/4 cup skim milk)
5 Organic and hormone-free extra large eggs
3/4 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp Natural Value Sea Salt
2 large firm sweet/tart Apples , Thin Sliced
1 tsp Saigon or Korinje Cinnamon
1/4 cup melted Earth Balance Natural Buttery Spread
Directions
Makes 8 pie-shaped pieces, Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Core and thin slice apples. Melt butter and pour into large round casserole dish or 8x8 square pan making sure to brush the sides generously. Place apple slices evenly around pan. Sprinkle 3 TBS lt. brn. sugar and 3/4 tsp cinnamon over apples. Measure Flour and salt, mix and set aside. Pour water, eggs, dry milk, 1 TBS lt. brn. sugar, and 1/4 tsp cinnamon together in large bowl. Whisk until frothy. Add flour mixture a little at a time until combined. Do not over mix. Pour batter evenly over apples and butter in pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes until pancake puffs and turns deep brown (but not burned) and knife inserted in center comes out clean. May drizzle with fresh lemon and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar, but it will add calories.
