Introduction

Tasty smoothie that's great for starting the day! Spinach gives iron, yet blended in to the berries and yogurt, the flavor is hidden! Tasty smoothie that's great for starting the day! Spinach gives iron, yet blended in to the berries and yogurt, the flavor is hidden!

Ingredients

    1/2 cup Frozen Raspberries
    1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries
1 cup Fresh Baby Spinach (roughly 1 big handful)
3/4 cup Plain NonFat Greek Yogurt
    3/4 cup skim milk
1 tbsp agave nectar or honey (to taste)

Tips

Let ingredients sit briefly to allow berries to thaw slightly (makes it easier to blend). I usually toss everything into the glass, then go about getting ready to leave for work, blend, pour into a to go cup and run out the door.

Works well with an immersion blender too!

Directions

Add raspberries, blueberries, spinach, yogurt and agave to blender.
Pour in skim milk, just enough to cover contents (approx. 3/4 cup).
Puree all until smooth.
Pour into glass and enjoy!
