Ingredients

    3 1/2 cups water
    1 cup steel cut oats
    1 Tbsp. milled flax seed
    1/3 cup raisins
    1 cup chopped apple
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Tips

I put on serving in my bowl and the rest in a covered dish in the refrigerator for the rest of the week. I use a table knife to cut the refrigerated oatmeal into 5 equal servings so I don't have to remeasure. Reheat in microwave. No need to add sugar. I use a little light soymilk. Filling and it holds me over until lunch.


Directions

Bring water to a boil; then add all the rest of the ingredients. Stir. Cover, reduce heat to simmer and set timer for 20 minutes. Stir half way through to keep from sticking.
