Ingredients
-
24 oz canned chicken, drained
1/4 c Hot sauce
8 oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese (or neufchatel)
1/2 c Light Ranch dressing
1 c Shredded 2% cheddar (I use a mix of mild and sharp)
Tips
Serve with tortilla or pita chips, crackers, pretzels, small bread slices, etc.
Directions
Drain chicken and heat in medium saucepan, breaking up large chunks with spoon
Add hot sauce and stir off and on for about a minute
Add cream cheese and stir until cream cheese is melted and mixed well with chicken
Add ranch and stir well
If you're going to keep it warmed in a crockpot, add 1/2 c shredded cheddar and let cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until cheese is melted. Scoop the dip into the crockpot, top with the remaining cheese, and keep warm on Low.
If not using a crockpot, add the whole cup of shredded cheddar to the chicken mixture, cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until cheese is melted, and serve immediately.
