Ingredients

    1. 1 package of your favourite tofu shiritaki noodles

    2. 4-5 hot Italian sausages (or any meat of your choice)

    3. 1 bag of frozen vegetables (I suggest an Asian blend because they are the lowest in carbs)

    4. 1 can of crushed tomatoes

    5. 1 tablespoon of tomato paste

    6. 1 tbsp crushed garlic

    7. 2 tbsp chili powder

    8. 1 tbsp onion powder

    9. 1/4 of an onion (red or white)

    10. Salt and pepper optional to taste (not included in nutrition facts)

Tips

Substitutions can be made easily to meet your dietary needs.

If you are not cutting out dairy, the sauce is great with some fat free cream cheese blended in.

Directions

Squeeze sausages out of the casings and chop into bite-sized pieces.

In a large pot in a low simmer, brown the sausages for about 5 minutes.

Add the shikitaki noodles and frozen veggies, and raise the temperature to medium. Cover and allow to steam for about 5 minutes.

Add all of the other ingredients and blend well.
