Introduction

Ingredients

    1 turkey wing
    2 large parsnips, medium chop
    5 stalks celery, chopped
    1/3c pearl barley
    4c beef broth

    USE ORGANIC WHEN POSSIBLE

Tips

I use some of the sweet, inner, leafy bits of the celery, leaving them on longer stems for easy removal if desired. They add a lovely flavour.


Directions

Throw it all in the crockpot! Turn it on High & let it do the rest of the work. Let it be for about 4hrs on High, check doneness of barley & cook longer if required. Turn crockpot down to Low or Warm. Season with pepper & other seasonings to taste. Remove turkey bones, leaving meat, at 4hrs.
