Introduction

Easy Asian inspired dish. Easy Asian inspired dish.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

2 lbs cube steak/tenderized round, cut into strips
    2 cups Beef Consomme
1 cup low sodium soy sauce
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    2 Tbs Sesame Oil
6 garlic cloves, minced (I use jarred)
    4 Tbs cornstarch
4 Tbs cooled sauce from cooker after completed cook time
Fresh or Frozen(thawed completely first) Broccoli Florets - as many as you like

Tips

I like less sesame oil. Serve this over rice and you have a complete, easy meal! I'm sure this could be "healthy-fied" (I know, not a word, but I'm going with it.) but I have not messed with it yet.

Directions

Place beef in a slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine consomme, soy sauce, brown sugar, oil, and garlic. Pour over beef. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. In a cup, stir cornstarch and sauce form the crock pot until smooth. Add to crock pot. Stir well to combine. Add broccoli to the crock pot. Stir to combine. Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes on high (the sauce has to boil for it to thicken).
