Ingredients

    1/2 head cabbage - chopped/shredded
    1c celery
    1c onion
    1c carrots
    1 green bell pepper
    2-3 garlic cloves
    6c broth - i use homemade vegatable
    1t oregano
    1t basil
    1/2t red pepper flakes
    1/2t black pepper
    1t salt
    2T olive oil
    1t lemon juice (opt)
    1t soy sauce (opt)


Tips

Original recipe calls for 1-14oz can of diced tomatoes w/basil, oregano & garlic. (i omit becuz i don't like toms). If you wish to use add when you add cabbage.


Directions

Saute celery, onion, pepper, carrot & garlic in olive oil until slightly tender. Add broth, cabbage & seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook until cabbage is tender. Adjust seasoning if needed, I added lemon & soy at end.
