Ingredients

    Raw Honey Wee Bee Honey Naturally Raw, 1/2 cup
    Argo Cornstarch, 1 tbsp
    Salt, 0.5 tsp
    Water, tap, 1/2 cup
    Balsamic Vinegar, 1/2 cup
    Applewood Bacon, 8 s;ices

Tips

Recipe copy from Applebees recipe - changed a bit. Replace the sugar with honey, not much change in the calories but honey is a bit healthier. Also used balsamic vinagar instead of white and added more water.


Directions

Fry bacon up crisp - remove - drain and discard grease.
Set bacon aside to drain well on paper towels - chop into very small pieces
Put water and vinegar into a clean pan
Slowly heat - do not boil
Add honey and whisk constantly till dissolved
When liquid is heated well, whisk in salt and cornstarch, whisk well till smooth and no lumps
Stir in bacon - add more water if it thickens too much.
Should be consistency of thin syrup.
Serve warm
Can keep extra in fridge, just heat up when serving.
Each serving = 2 tbsp.
