Introduction

This is a beautiful, easy, one-bowl cake that comes out moist and chocolatey. This is a beautiful, easy, one-bowl cake that comes out moist and chocolatey.

Ingredients

    2 cups hot strong decaf coffee
    1 stick butter
    5 squares unsweetened baking chocolate chopped up
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    2 cups granulated sugar
    2 cups white wheat flour
    1 tsp baking soda


Tips

Use a cream cheese or cooked fudge frosting on this cake. Or just eat it as is... it's very moist so doesn't necessarily need a frosting.


Directions

Melt butter and chopped chocolate in the hot coffee. Stir until melted. Microwave a bit if chocolate doesn't melt. Add sugar and stir well. Add eggs. Stir baking soda into flour then add both to the wet ingredients. Add vanilla. Beat with beaters for about 10 minutes. The batter will be thin. Pour into a greased & floured Bundt pan. Bake for 30-45 minutes. Cake is done when edges pull away from sides and toothpick stuck into cake comes out clean.
