Introduction

Ingredients

    1 lb beans - soaked over night (mix of pinto, kidney and black)
    2 lb ground beef (try 1 lb beef, 1 lb turkey)
    2 28-oz cans of diced tomatoes
    2 tbsp chili powder
    1 tbsp minced garlic
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp celery seeds
    2 tsp salt
    black pepper to taste

Tips

Soak the dried beans overnight (about 12 hours) and start the slow cooker in the morning and it will be ready for dinner.


Directions

Brown the meat with half the spices. Put everything into the crock pot and give it at last 10 hours to cook on low.

Serving Size: Makes about 16 one-cup servings. I think.
