My take at the classic... My take at the classic...Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
-
2 lb Ground Beef, 90% lean
1 15oz Ricotta cheese (I used part of another)
12 Lasagna noodles (more if needed - calories are for 14)
2 jars Pasta Sauce of choice
-- might not need all of 2nd
-- I used Classico Italian sausage
1 cup Parmesan cheese
2 oz Shredded Mozzarella or Gouda cheese
-- I like Gouda for a little more taste
3 eggs
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1 tsp Oregano
... other seasonings to taste.
Directions
Heat lasagna noodles in boiling water to soften.
Brown ground beef with seasonings.
Break eggs into bowl & beat lightly, add Ricota and shredded Parmesan cheese, mix.
Add browned ground beef.
Layer from bottom of pan:
-- Sauce
-- Noodles
-- Meat/cheese mixture
-- Sauce
-- Noodles
-- Meat/cheese mixture
End with noodle layer, if possible.
Top with more sauce.
Add shredded Mozarella or Gouda.
Bake at 350 for 30 min, covered with foil.
Bake 15 more min, uncovered.
Serving Size: makes 8 - 10 servings
