Introduction

Ingredients

    Dry red kidney beans 1/2 cup
    Dry brown rice long grain 1/4 cup

    salt 1 tsp
    garlic 1 tsp garlic dehydrated or roasted chips
    (you can use 2 garlic cloves instead)
    basil 2 tsp
    tarragon 1 tsp
    tumeric 1 dash
    mustard 1 dash

    spicy bean sauce 1 tsp

Tips

Then for extra softness add 10 more minutes of cooking time.At last minute add bean sauce. Let sit for about 2 minutes. Serve and enjoy. Makes 2 servings.


Directions

Soak Kidney beans and brown rice overnight in a bowl with water about 1 to 2 inches. Drain in the morning.

Bring to a boil, everything except for the bean sauce for about 30 min. Use just enough fresh water to cover ingredients plus about one inch. Check water level, add more if needed.

Serving Size: Makes 2 one cup servings approximately
