Ingredients

    2 lbs. lean ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    1 tbsp. garlic, chopped
    2 beef bullion cubes
    4 cups water
    1 large can tomato juice
    2 cans corn, drained
    2 cans green beans, drained
    1 can carrots, drained
    1 can peas, drained
    1 can diced tomatoes
    3-4 medium potatoes, diced small
    1/2 head of cabbage, chopped

Tips

I like my soup with a bit of spice and prefer to add cayenne pepper to the pot while cooking. If my son's at home, though, I don't add this as he doesn't care for the heat. I'll add some pepper sauce to my bowl, instead.

Directions

Brown beef, garlic, and onion. Drain well.
Add chopped potatoes, cabbage, bullion, and water. Boil slowly until potatoes are almost cooked. Add other ingredients and simmer on the stove for at least 2 hours. The more you cook, the better it tastes.
