Introduction

Ingredients

    6 oz. elbow macaroni
    1 cup frozen peas
    6 tbsp. canola oil
    6 tbsp. flour
    3 cups Lactaid Fat Free Milk, warmed
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. dried dill weed
    3 cans tuna in water, drained

Tips

Lactaid makes the white sauce taste sweeter because the milk sugar is broken down. Can be made using soy milk or regular milk if not lactose intolerant.


Directions

Cook elbow macaroni according to package directions until firm but not mushy. Add frozen peas at the end of cooking to warm thru.
Blend the canola oil and flour in a small sauce pan to make a rue.
Gradually add warmed Lactaid milk and cook for 2 minutes with out boiling until white sauce thickens.
Stir pepper, dill weed, tuna into white sauce and warm gently.
Drain pasta and peas and add white sauce with tuna and stir until well mixed.




Serving Size: Divide into 6 equal serving
