Ingredients
-
1 (2 pound) pork loin roast
1 tsp each garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric and freshly ground Black Pepper
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 cup water
3/4 cup red wine
3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp reduced sodium worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tbsp cornstarch and water
Directions
1. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric and freshly ground black pepper on one side of the tenderloin and place that side down in a heated deep skillet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Sear pork and sprinkle other side of pork with same seasoning then flip and sear second side.
2. Place contents of the soup mix, water, wine, soy sauce and worcestershire in crock pot and whisk together.
3. Add pork loin to the crock pot turning the pork to coat. Carefully spread garlic over the pork, leaving as much on top of the roast during cooking as possible.
4. Cover, and cook on high setting for 4 hours (or 8 hours on low). Pull pork out of crockpot and cover with foil.
5. Make a cornstarch and water slurry in a small bowl until dissolved and there are no remaining lumps. Pour into the crockpot and stir until combined and let it sit on high for 10 min to thicken sauce. Serve pork with au jus / gravy.
