Introduction

No carve turkey! No carve turkey!
Number of Servings: 14

Ingredients

    12-14 lb turkey- skin removed
    6-8 c. of hot water
2tsp each parsley, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder and onion powder

you will also need a roaster with a lid and aluminum foil.

Tips

Recommend tongs to pull apart, should be no need to carve.

Directions

Line your roaster with foil, then place the rack inside. With the skin removed and any lingering fatty chunks including popes-nose cut away, place the turkey breast side up on the rack. Hook the wings behind the joints and tie the legs together. Pour enough water over the bird to put about 1" to 1 1/2" of water in the bottom of the pan. May be more water than listed in ingredients depending on size of roaster. Sprinkle seasonings over bird. Fold together two pieces of aluminum foil to make one large piece then use it to tent over the roaster making sure to push in around the edges of the roaster. Place the lid over the tented foil and place in a 350 degree oven for 20 min per lb plus an extra 10 min. when you pull it out the breast bone should be exposed and dry.
