Ingredients

    2- 1/4 in slices gingerroot
    1 large clove garlic
    2 tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tbsp. dry sherry (optional)
    2 tbsp. ketchup
    1 tsp sugar
    pinch cayenne pepper
    2 tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 lb raw shrimp, shelled, deveined and patted dry
    2 green onions, including tops, cut diagonally into 1 in pieces
    1- 6 oz frozen pea pods thawed (optional)

Tips

For hotter taste use 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper.


Directions

crush gingerroot and garlic together; set aside. Mix next 5 ingredients; set aside. Heat oil in uncovered wok at 375. Add gingerroot and garlic; stir fry 10 seconds. Add shrimp and stir fry 3 minutes or until pink. Add green onion and peppers and stir fry for additional 30 seconds. Serve immediately.
