Ingredients

    4 T. orange juice concentrate
    1/2 c. honey (or 1/4 c. honey & 1/4 c. brown sugar)
    4 T. soy sauce
    3 T. hoisin sauce
    1 T. grated fresh ginger (or 1 t. powder)
    3 cloves garlic, finely minced
    Zest of one orange
    2 T. sesame oil
    4-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
    2 T. cornstarch
2 T. orange juice (or cold water)
    2 T. sesame seeds (optional)
    Green onions, chopped (garnish)
    Rice (brown or white)

Directions

"In a small bowl, combine the orange juice concentrate, honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil. Add the chicken breasts and the sauce to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low until the chicken is tender and cooked through about 5 to 7 hours.

Transfer the chicken to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm. Strain the sauce through a fine mesh strainer into a small saucepan. In a cup or small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and cold water. Bring the sauce to a boil over high heat, add the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring a few times, until thickened, 1 or 2 minutes. Pour some of the sauce over the chicken and pass the rest at the table. Serve the chicken over rice garnished with sesame seeds and green onions."
