Introduction

This Crock Pot Roast is great to throw in before you go to work and come home to a house full of amazing smells. Dinner is already ready without all the work. You can substitute the Tastefully Simple Caramelized Onion Dip Starter with a packet of beefy onion soup mix (save some calories too!). This recipe is a huge hit at my house! Ingredients

    3lb Chuck Roast
    1 Jar Tastefully Simple Caramelized Onion Dip Starter
    1 cup of water
    3 small Idaho Potatoes washed and diced
    2 stalks of Celery small dice
    1 cup of Green String Beans cut in half
    5 cloves Garlic leave whole or cut in half
    1 cup carrots washed and roughly diced
    1/4 cup onion chunked up
    To taste Salt and Pepper

Tips

If you don't have the Caramelized Onion Dip Starter you can substitute it for 1 packet of beefy onion soup mix.
Just make sure to adjust recipe nutrition to the substitution since this one is set to using the onion dip.


Directions

1. Prep all vegetables.
2. Lightly spray slow cooker with cooking spray.
3. Spread half of vegetables on bottom of slow cooker.
4. Lay meat on top of the vegetables.
5. Pour over Caramelized Onion Dip and spread on meat. (If using beefy onion soup mix sprinkle on now.)
6. Add 1 cup of water to slow cooker.
7. Sprinkle rest of vegetables on top and sides of meat.
8. Place lid on slow cooker and set for 8 hours.
9. Once done (meat should shred easily with fork) shred meat and enjoy!


Serving Size: Makes roughly 8 servings at 1 1/2 cups per serving
