Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1.5lb Beef, bottom round (chopped, approx 2" pieces)
    1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1 tbsp Sesame Oil
    1 tbsp granulated garlic
    1 cup beef broth
    3 cups broccoli florets
    2 tbsp corn starch
    3 tbsp Water

Tips

May add more or less soy sauce depending on your preference for saltiness but may need to also use a small bit less or more of corn starch to accommodate changing the amount of soy sauce.
Can substitute half brown sugar for splenda to save calories and carbs if you choose...wouldn't recommend substituting it all as I have not tried to sub it all yet.


Directions

1. Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray.
Add beef, broth, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic. Cook on high 2. 2.5 hours or low 4.5 hours.
3. In small bowl, mix corn starch and water until well mixed and smooth, add slowly to slow cooker and stir. Cook for another 20 mins.
4. Place broccoli in microwave safe bcontainer, fill bottom with water (approx 1/2 inch), cover with lid leaving one corner vented. Microwave on high for approx 3 mins (more or less depending how tender you prefer it). Drain broccoli, add to slow cooker, stir, serve.
