An old family favorite- I can't bring myslef to tinker with it to lighten it up! An old family favorite- I can't bring myslef to tinker with it to lighten it up!
Number of Servings: 20


    For Salad:
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 orange, finely cut up
    2 apples, chopped
    1 cup walnuts
    1 can crushed puineapple, drained
    1 60oz jar maraschino cherries
    3 lbs grapes

    For Dressing:
    2 large eggs
    2 Tblsp lemon juice
    2 Tblsp heavy cream
    1/2 pint whipped heavy cream


Mix the salad ingredients together in a large bowl.

For dressing: In a double boiler mix eggs, lemon juice and 2 Tblsp heavy cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Cool and mix with the whipped whipping cream. Stir dressing into the mixed fruit. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
