Ingredients
-
8 oz Whiting (fish)
2 tsp Westbrae Natural White Miso
1 tbsp Soy sauce (tamari)
1 tbsp Mirin (rice cooking wine)
1 tsp Ginger, ground
.33 tbsp Eden Selected Toasted Sesame Oil
.5 tbsp Sesame Seeds
Tips
Note the prep time does not include the time the fish needs to marinate - 1 hour up to 24.
Directions
Cut the fillets into chunks about 2 x 3" and place in an oven safe glass or ceramic dish in a single layer, with a little space between each piece.
mix the non-fish ingredients together, and pour over cut-up pieces of the fish fillets. Turn the pieces over/mix everything up a little (gently) to make sure all the fish chunks are coated with marinade.
let marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour, up to 24.
Take the fish out at least 30 minutes ahead of time.
Preheat oven to 375. Just before putting the fish in the oven, slice a whole lime very thinly, and place the slices on the pieces of fish, squeezing some juice over the fillets as you place the slices.
Bake for 15 minutes or so (check at 10) until the fillets are just done.
Remove the lime slices before eating. If desired, garnish with (black!) sesame seeds.
Serving Size: makes 3 servings of about 2-1/2 oz. each (small palm sized piece(s) of fillet)
Number of Servings: 3
