This simple marinade recipe is suitable for pretty much any kind of meat (or meat substitute)! We especially love it on chicken or steak. This simple marinade recipe is suitable for pretty much any kind of meat (or meat substitute)! We especially love it on chicken or steak.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Water, tap1/3 cup
Low sodium Soy Sauce 1/4 cup
    Olive Oil, 2 Tbsp
    Pepper, black, 1 Tbsp
    Lemon Juice1 tbsp.
    Garlic, 3 cloves minced

Directions

Mix all ingredients together. Place meat of your choice in marinade. You can even add this marinade to a ziploc bag while the meat is defrosting. Let sit in refridgerator. The longer they marinade the better they are! I try for at least 5 hours but you can do it as much as overnight if you have the time. Remove from ziploc and place meat on grill. Grill for about 5-10 min per side depending on how thick your meat is and what kind of meat you've chosen to use. Will marinade 4 4-oz servings of meat. Meat is not included in calorie count so track that separately.

I marinated pork steak with this recipe. It was so tender and juicy! I used a little of the marinade to toss in some veggies, which I roasted on a cookie sheet. I thought it was delicious! My husband thought it was delicious! He was amazed I used a recipe instead of instant! - 11/7/09

We had this for dinner tonight. It was delicious. My husband is not a big garlic eater, next time I will only use 2 garlic cloves and see if it helps. - 11/2/09

Made this recipe for a big party, we had shish-ka-bobs and everyone raved out how well the meat tasted and how moist it was. I actually let the meat marinade for 48 hours. Wonderful! - 8/14/10
