Introduction

Really good with a slow heat – similar to McCormicks but with NO salt! Really good with a slow heat – similar to McCormicks but with NO salt!

Ingredients

    1 teaspoon Black Pepper
    ¼ teaspoon Onion powder
    1 tablespoon Chili powder
    ½ teaspoon Paprika
    ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
    1 ½ teaspoons Cumin
    ¼ teaspoon dried Oregano
    ¼ teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
    ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper*

    *adjust heat by using 1/8 for milder or 1/2 for hotter or omit for mild

    Big Mix Batch ( x 4 ) – Fills regular shaker almost full
    1 tablespoon & 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
    1 teaspoon Onion powder
    4 tablespoons (2 oz = 1/4 cup) Chili powder
    2 teaspoons Paprika
    1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
    2 tablespoons Cumin
    1 teaspoon dried Oregano
    1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
    1 teaspoon Red Pepper (adjust heat by using 1/8 for milder or 1/2 for hotter)

Tips

This is broken out into 4 serving sizes because it is to be used on 1 pound of meat which is normally split amongst 4 people.


Directions

1. Blend all ingredients.

2. Add seasoning mix to 1 pound of cooked and drained meat along with 3/4 cup of water. Bring to a boil then simmer 5 minutes stirring occasionally or until water is absorbed.

TO MAKE FROM BIG BATCH:
Add 2 tablespoons and 1 ¼ teaspoons of seasoning mix to 1 pound of cooked and drained meat along with ¾ cup of water. Bring to a boil then simmer 5 minutes stirring occasionally or until water is absorbed.
