Ingredients
-
2 tbsp Coconut Oil
3.5 lbs Ground beef, lean
(2) 28-oz cans Diced Tomatoes
(2) 6-oz cans Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Sea Salt
2 tbsp Dried Basil
2 tbsp Olive Oil
3 tbsp Garlic powder
1.5 tbsp Onion powder
3 tbsp Bay Leaves
3 tbsp Raw Onion, diced
Directions
Heat coconut oil in skillet. Add ground beef, crumble and brown on medium heat until cooked. Do *not* drain.
Transfer cooked ground beef (including liquid) to an 8-quart stock pot. To that, add the diced tomatoes (including liquid) and tomato paste. Stir thoroughly.
Add sea salt, basil, olive oil, garlic powder and onion powder. Stir thoroughly.
Add the bay leaves. Stir gently so as to not break the leaves.
Cook on medium high for a few minutes, until gently boiling - stirring frequently to avoid the tomato products from burning.
Turn heat down to low and simmer for at least 30 minutes - longer if you prefer. Stir occasionally.
Serve alone or over pasta.
Optional: After serving, top individual servings with raw diced onions.
Eat, enjoy! That's amore!
