Ingredients

2 cup dry Oatmeal (plain)
.5 cup Honey
8 tbsp Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil
1 fl oz Water, tap
2 serving Egg white, large
6 tsp Domino Light Brown Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
.5 tsp Salt
.75 cup Wheat germ, crude
12 serving Dried Dates (1 date) (by CBEARSCUTTIE)
1 tbsp Shortening, Crisco
Tips
watch oats closely, they may take more or less time depending on microwave wattage.
Directions
Gather ingrediants.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
line an eight by eight square pan with foil. spread shortening over foil to prevent sticking later on.
place oats on a plate and microwave in one minute intervals two or three times or until golden stirring the oats every time.
let oats cool.
In a large metal bowl whisk honey, oil, water, egg whites, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt until blended.
Toss in oats, wheat germ and dates. Combine.
Transfer to pan. Using wet hands press until it is even.
bake for twenty five minutes or until golden brown and fragrant. cool on wire rack.
using foil, transfer to cutting board cut into eighteen bars. store in airtight container on counter up to four days or freeze them for up to one month.
