Ingredients

    1 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    13 oz Butterball Everyday Smoked Turkey Sausage
    1 clove Garlic
    1 serving Canned Mushrooms (small) 6.5oz =100gram of just mushrooms
    2.0 cup Del Monte Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added
    2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    3.5 serving Bush's Low Sodium Black Beans
    2 cup Bush's Pinto Beans
    3.5 cup Black Eye Peas, TRAPPEY'S - Jalapeno (by POPEYETHETURTLE)

Tips

You can use any brand of beans or diced tomatoes.


Directions

Chop onions, sausage and garlic and saute over heat. (add a little water if it sticks) When onions are translucent and can of mushrooms (and green chiles) with liquid. Bring to boil. Add one can tomatoes, then add one can of tap water. Add black beans, pinto beans, and black-eyed peas. (if you are sodium restricted, rinse the beans. Otherwise the flavor is in the pot liquor) Bring to a boil, reduce to low heat and simmer for twenty minutes or until your husband finishes up and comes in for lunch. Serve over rice, cornbread, whole wheat toast, or just in a bowl. Hot sauce optional.
