Ingredients
-
4 cup White Rice, long grain, cooked
1 tbsp Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil
16 oz Smart Chicken ground chicken breast (by BUTS1414)
2 tsp Ginger, ground
3 tsp Chili Garlic Sauce (by SEARCY1945)
.5 cup Orange Juice
1.5 tbsp Kikkoman Low Sodium Soy Sauce
2 bunch Broccoli, fresh
2 serving Green Onion (fresh-1 stalk)
Tips
You can use any vegetables you want, really. You might want to try brussels sprouts and carrots, asparagus and water chestnuts, snow peas and peppers or whatever floats your boat.
Directions
1.Cook rice according to your preference, I use a Jasmine rice but any long-grain white rice will do.
2.In a large nonstick pan, warm vegetable oil over low-medium heat. Add chicken and brown through.
3.Add the ginger, garlic, chili garlic sauce, orange juice, and soy sauce. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes, or until sauce has reduced and thickened. Stir well and remove from heat.
4.Meanwhile, fill a pot with 1 inch of water. Add steamer basket and add chopped broccoli florets & stems. Cover and steam for 4 minutes.
5.Make the bowls by either dividing the rice among four bowls and topping with chicken and broccoli, or by mixing it all together in the nonstick pan. Top with green onions and enjoy!
