Ingredients

    4 lb Pork, fresh, loin, center rib (roasts), bone-in, separable lean and fat, raw
    .5 serving Vidallia Onion - Serving Size: Raw, 1 medium onion (148 grams)
    1 small (2-1/2" dia) (approx) Apples, fresh with skin
    10 tbsp BBQ sauce Famous Daves Sweet and Zesty
    2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    2 Tbs 6 pepper spice blend
    1 Tbs. Salt
    1 tsp liquid smoke (optional)

Directions

Season roast with pepper blend and garlic powder and other seasonings of your choice. I added 1 Tbs o salt to this rub also. Add pork roast with bone in into crockpot. Chop 1/2 onion and apple up and put on top of roast. pour in water and cover. You may add 1 tsp liquid smoke at this time if you'd like. Cook on low for 7-8 ours until meat falls off the bone. Remove meat and shred. Return meat to crockpot and add BBQ sauce. Stir to combine. Eat on a bun or on top of a salad. Serve with cole slaw if you wish.
