Introduction
A low carb bread alternative A low carb bread alternativeNumber of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
3 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
4.25 oz Cream Cheese
1 dash Salt
.50 tbsp Now Psyllium Husk Powder
Tips
I did not spray the parchment and it seemed to stick a bit, had to use a metal spatula to slowly get them off the paper. Next time I will try spraying the parchment.
I also heated the cream cheese a bit so that it was very easy to mix with the eggs.
I used the psyllium and baking powder. made a great base for Tuna Melts!
Directions
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
Separate the egg yolks into one bowl and the egg whites into another.
Whip egg whites together with salt until very stiff. You should be able to turn the bowl over without the egg whites moving.
Mix the egg yolks and the cream cheese well. If you want, add the psyllium husk and baking powder. (This makes the Oopsie more bread-like).
Gently fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mix – try to keep the air in the egg whites.
Put 8 oopsies on a parchment-lined baking tray.
Bake in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes – until they turn golden.
