Introduction

This is a good tasting white bread that might be even better if kneaded with a dough hook.

Also, I use a convection oven. The cooking times may be longer for a non-convection oven. Please experiment, and report in comments.

Ingredients

    550 g Plain white flour (UK)
    5 grams Salt
    97 grams Granulated Sugar
    307 grams Water bottle w/ filtered water
    32 grams Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    10 grams Yeast, bakers

Tips

Directions

1. Add ¼ of the total sugar with all the lukewarm (100° F or 37° C) and mix.
2. When the sugar is dissolved, add yeast and stir.
3. Let sit for 10-15 minutes to proof (the yeast rises).
4. Add all remaining ingredients. mix (by hand) in a bowl, then knead 8 minutes on a well-floured surface.
5.Roll into log shape and place in bread pan.
6. Allow to rise for an hour or until doubled in bulk.
7. Bake at 375° F or 180° C for 18 minutes.
