Introduction

Ingredients

    1 cup dark brown sugar
    ½ cup granulated sugar
    2 cups water
    4" piece ginger, peeled and diced
    1 (2") cinnamon stick

Directions

Combine the sugars, water, sliced ginger and cinnamon stick in a large stainless steel saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring.
Simmer 5 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick if desired.
Can 10 minutes in a waterbath.

Serving Size: Makes ~2 3/4 cups, 22 (2 tbsp) servings
