Ingredients

    2 Tbsp chili powder
    5 tsp paprika
    4 1/2 tsp ground cumin
    1 Tbsp onion powder
    1 Tbsp salt
    2 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions

Combine all ingredients and store in airtight container for up to 6 months. To use, add 8 tespoons seasoning mix and 2/3-3/4 cup water to 1 pound ground beef (browned and drained). Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Recipe makes 3 batches of mix, 4 servings per batch.

    I use this recipe. It's great. Low carb, no MSG, and economical too! Equally good used with ground burger, ground turkey, or ground chicken. It can also be used in Spanish Rice and/or in mashed beans to flavor them. Works on slow-cooked beans w/tomato sauce added. - 1/16/09
