Ingredients

    4 links/1 lb Italian Sausage, pork
    28 oz can tomatoes, crushed
    1 tbsp Oregano, ground
    1 tbsp Basil
    2 tsp Garlic Salt
    1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
    28 oz tomatoes, crushed (28 oz)
    2 cups Mushrooms, canned
    1 cup frozen 3 Pepper & Onion Blend

Tips

For a lower carb version, leave out mushrooms, peppers, and/or onions. Tomato paste also can be added to help thicken the sauce, but it will add extra carbs.


Directions

1. Cut open sausage and remove from casing. 2. Cook Italian sausage and bell peppers for about 5 minutes. 3. Add crushed tomatoes, mushrooms, red pepper, flakes, garlic, oregano, and basil. 4. Cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes or until sauce is at the consistency you want.

Serving Size: Makes 8 1/2 cup servings
