Ingredients

8 oz Lamb, Ground
2 tbsp Ketchup, Heinz
.5 tbsp Ground tumeric (by SUPERSNAZZ)
1 tsp Coriander seed
1 dash Pepper, black
.5 cup, chopped Onions, raw
.5 cup Yogurt Plain Greek Yogurt, non-fat
.5 serving Lemon, fresh squeezed, juice of one whole lemon
2 pita, large (6-1/2" dia) Bread, pita, white
0.5 cup, shredded Romaine Lettuce (salad)
4 serving Tomato slices (1)
Tips
You can use ground beef if you cannot find ground lamb.
Directions
1. preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2. mix the yogurt, mint, and lemon in a small bowl and set aside
3. mix the lamb, tumeric, coriander, pepper, ketchup, and onions in a small bowl and form into 2 equal balls
4. roll the balls out into logs and lightly flatten
5. bake the kofte for 15min
6. place the pitas in the oven for the last 2min of the kofte's cooking
7. place kofte in the pitas and top with half of each the yogurt, lettuce and tomato
