2 tbsp Argo 100% Pure Corn Starch
0.25 cup Butter, salted
0.125 tsp Baking Powder
0.125 tsp Salt
0.125 tsp Baking Soda
0.25 tsp Nutmeg, ground
6 serving Apple Slices - 1.5 cups or 1 apple
0.5 cup dry Oatmeal (plain)
1 fl oz Lemon Juice
0.5 cup, packed Brown Sugar
7 gram(s) Sweet Additions Stevia
0.5 cup King Arthur 100% Unbleached White Whole Wheat Flour
Tips
This is my apple crisp recipe that I have been making for decades now tailored for diabetics.
Directions
Peal and core apples
In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup Stevia, corn starch and lemon juice.
mix in 2 tsp of cinamon and 1 tsp nutmeg. mix well and pout unto grease baking pan. (I use a glass corelleware baking dish)
In a clean bowl, mix oatmeal, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, 1 tsp cinamon and salt.
Make sure the butter is room temperature and then mix butter well with dry ingredients. Spoon over apples and bake 350 degrees for 30-40 min.
Serving Size: makes 8 one cup servings
