Ingredients

2 15oz cans chickpeas
1lb rigatoni
28 oz tomato sauce
2/3 cup green pepper, chopped
2/3 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp basil, dried
1/2 tsp oregano, dried
1/2 cup water
2 tbs garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
1. Cook rigatoni. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large saute pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic, onions and peppers, salt and pepper and saute until onions are translucent. Add Chickpeas, basil and oregano and continue to saute for a few more minutes.
3. Stir in tomato sauce and water. Cover mixture and cook over low heat for 10-20 minutes , stirring occasionally, to let flavors meld. Add rigatoni and combine thoroughly. Cook 5 more minutes.
4. Serve.
