Ingredients

20 oz Almonds, blanched and slivered (4 to 5 cups)
2 tbsp oil (I like a nut oil, but you an use light olive oil or safflower oil)
Tips
Note: Cooking time and prep time are misleading because you have to allow time for the almonds to cool after baking.
Directions
Preheat oven to 250 (or 225 if your oven cooks hot). Place almonds on a cookie sheet lined with parchment. Bake for about an hour until tanned or light brown. Let cool for at least 30 minutes.
Process almonds to crumbs in a food processor or vita mix. May have todo this in 2 batches. Drizzle in oil and continue to blend, scraping downsides of container with spatula as needed. Store in the fridge.
