Ingredients

16 oz 93% Lean Ground Beef
16 serving happy farms low moisture part skim mozzarella cheese
200 g spaghetti soybean black simply nature 2oz dry (by MTGBRONX13) (1 box)
2.5 cups Reggano sauces Tomato Basil and Garlic Pasta Sauce (by STARGIRLDR) (1 jar)
    Italian seasoning

Tips

If standard pasta is used, there is less moisture in the resulting dish, but not low carb. Feel free to substitute your favorite sauce, or add pepperoni in the layers if you like. We call this spooky spaghetti pizza pie because of the black pasta - the kids enjoy it.

Directions

Brown ground beef, then add half the sauce to the ground beef and some Italian seasoning to taste and simmer for five minutes or so.

Boil the black soy spaghetti; we chose this pasta because of the low carbs, but other pasta could be used if desired. Cook it according to package directions and drain.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9 x 13 casserole dish by spraying with baking spray. Put the ground beef and sauce in the bottom of the casserole dish, then add half the shredded mozzarella cheese and shake Italian seasoning on the top of the cheese.

Layer the pasta over the top, then add the rest of the sauce, top with the rest of the cheese. Shake Italian seasoning over the top of the cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes. This kind of pasta seems to add moisture to the casserole.

I made this with regular spaghetti for the first try. I will have to look for the soy pasta to try for the full effect. - 2/10/20
