Introduction

Ingredients

    12 cup California Whole Peeled Tomatoes in Tomato Juice - Mount Stirling Brand
    3 tsp Granulated Sugar
    10 clove Garlic
    1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1 tbsp Basil
    1 tsp Salt

Tips

Making up a large pot of sauce you can use it for many meals. Meatball sandwiches, chicken parm, stuffed peppers, pasta and sauce with meatballs or ground beef. You can also freeze it in to meal sizes if you chose.


Directions

Peeled and cut up garlic and sauté in olive oil. Put into blender with the tomatoes. Blend and put in pot. Will take more than one blenderful. Add sugar and basil and salt to taste. Simmer for 3-4 hours. This reduces the acid content of tomatoes.
