Introduction

Ingredients

    whole wheat spaghetti
    bell pepper
    onion
    diced tomato
    broccoli
    mushrooms
    garbanzo beans
    edamame
    roasted sesame seeds
    roasted almonds (or cashews)
    red pepper flakes
    garlic
    salt
    soy sauce (optional)

Directions

first roast sesame seeds, almonds (or cashews) & red pepper flakes until golden (your nose will know when they're ready). remove from pan, add oil until hot, then add garlic, peppers & onions. while they are cooking, get water boiling for spaghetti (or any pasta of your choice). then add mushrooms, broccoli & edamame (can cook both ahead of time), & tomatoes to skillet. When pasta is ready (about 10 minutes to al dente) add to skillet. season with salt & pepper to taste. makes 2 - 1.5 cup servings.
*i did not include any meat in this recipe or in calculations, however any meat can be used in this dish: shrimp, chicken or steak would be great.*
