Ingredients

4.75 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
.25 cup Wheat flour, white, bread, enriched
.5 ounce Yeast, bakers
3 tsp Granulated Sugar
3 cup Fat free half and half
8.5 tbsp Butter, unsalted
1 fl oz Water, tap
Directions
Makes 2 loaves
16 servings (8 each loaf)
4 and ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup bread flour
Mix flours together.
Add 2 tablespoons yeast.
Add 1 tablespoon sugar.
(if no sodium restriction, add 1 tablespoon salt)
3 cups of half and half (fat free)
Knead for a while until you have smooth dough.
THEN add in 8.5 tablespoons of butter or margarine.
Place dough in oiled bowl. Cover with cling wrap.
Store in a warm place and allow dough to double in size.
Give it an hour or so.
Take the dough, and divide it into four equal pieces.
Shape the pieces into rolls.
Then flatten them out, and braid the bread.
Remember, 2 rolls = 1 loaf of bread
And we’re making 2 loaves of bread here with this recipe
Place bread on baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush dough with an egg yolk wash.
Place on the lower shelf in the oven.
It cooks at 400° for 25-40 minutes or until done.
(Should sound hollow if you flick it with your finger)
(Breads cook to internal temperature of 190°)
