Introduction

Makes great crispy waffles with no wheat flour.

Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    3 cup Robin Hood Large Oat Flakes processed into oat flour
    1/2 tsp Salt
    4 tsp baking powder
    1/2 cup tapioca starch or cornstarch

    3 cups non dairy milk (I use almond unsweetened)
    1 tbsp Cider Vinegar
    1 TBS Vanilla Extract
    1 tsp Almond Extract
    1/3 cup Maple Syrup



Tips

These freeze beautifully. Just reheat in toaster, or oven on a rack.


Directions

Process oats, salt, baking powder and tapioca starch to flour like consistency. In bowl add milk and vinegar, allow to set for 10 minutes or so. Add extracts and maple syrup. Stir milk mix into oat mix. Bake in waffle iron until golden. May take longer than usual.

Serving Size: 24 small square waffles or 6 large waffles
